What therapy looks like at each age
Goals, session length and setting change as your child grows. The BCBA writes the plan; the same team follows your child from toddler to school age.
Early intervention
Short, playful sessions built around what your toddler already loves: songs, bubbles, snacks, blocks. We work on requesting, imitation, joint attention and first words, and coach you to keep it going between sessions.
Preschool readiness
Following directions, sitting for circle time, sharing, potty training and tolerating transitions. Sessions happen at home or inside your child’s preschool or VPK classroom, coordinated with the teacher.
School-age support
Homework routines, friendships, flexible thinking and the behaviors that get in the way at school. We coordinate with the IEP or 504 team and can provide support during the school day.

Assessment and authorization
A BCBA completes the Vineland-3, BASC-3 and functional assessment and submits the plan to your insurer. We chase the approval.

A Registered Behavior Technician works with your child at home or at school, supervised by the BCBA, with caregiver training built in.
Questions parents of young children ask
Is my child too young for ABA?
No. ABA for toddlers looks like play, and research supports starting as early as possible. If your child is under 3 you may also qualify for Florida Early Steps; we can run alongside it.
Do we need a diagnosis first?
For Medicaid plans, yes: a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation by a licensed practitioner plus a referral from your child’s doctor. If you don’t have one yet, tell us and we’ll point you to evaluators in Miami-Dade with the shortest waits.
Where do sessions happen?
Mostly at home, because that is where toddlers learn best. We also work in daycares, preschools and VPK classrooms with the school’s permission, and in our Kendall office for assessments and parent training.
How many hours per week?
It depends on the assessment and what your plan authorizes; young children often start with 10–20 hours per week. Every plan includes parent training so progress continues when we are not there.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Our BCBAs and most of our technicians are bilingual, and parent training happens in the language your family uses at home.
Which insurance do you take?
Florida Medicaid plans including Molina (all lines, including the CMS Plan), Sunshine Health, Aetna Better Health and others, plus several private plans. If you’re not sure, send us the plan name and we’ll check.
